  1. The wealthy use the GOVERNMENT to maintain and grow their wealth in the Socialist model - or the CRAPITALISM we practice in the USA. This is not a free market - it is a bailout economy where the individuals that cause the most harm across the socioeconomic spectrum take money from hard working honest individuals. I was born poor and lived poor most of my life until I worked my way into the upper middle class. I was victimized all the up by individuals using the government to take my labor to support their irresponsible life style. Two of my neighbors declared bankruptcy after they refinanced their homes at 2% using a government program. During the years leading up to the bankruptcy they never went without new cars and luxury items while I saved and drove the same old car to work each day. They drove up the cost of homes, they caused me to pay higher property taxes on my home, they made me support the new 2% loan on their homes – and now the Socialist want me to pay higher taxes. Yes, Socialism is an amoral system based on theft and violence. Ironically, most of the clips on this board rail on Government not freedom and yet advocate taking freedom away in the name of some equality of outcome without any since of morality. That is government sponsored theft enforced by the threat of violence and by its nature immoral - not free market moral principles! My story always invokes a since of “they should fix it so people like you are not treated unfairly” but nothing ever changes and in the end the Socialist solution is even more immoral than the current immoral Socialist/pseudocapitalist system.

  2. Commenter clearly has no idea of what socialism is. Nor how the regulated capitalism that the greatest president of the 20th century FDR implemented would have prevented his home state of California's economic problems. That includes the deregulation of the energy sector, housing market and banking sector.
